Wasch Secures Mid-South Conference Player of the Week

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Georgetown College women's tennis freshman Pyper Wasch was named the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week by the league office on Monday.

Wasch, a freshman from Richmond, Kentucky, collected her first collegiate win as a Tiger at Brescia on Saturday.

The freshman helped teammate Maggie Blevins dismantle the Bearcats in the number three doubles spot, 6-4 before assuming the number five singles position. There, Wasch secured a three-set win over Naveah Yates to go 2-0 on the day.

Georgetown is on the road at Thomas More on Saturday, February 24 for their second match day of the spring semester. The Tigers take on the Saints at the Five Seasons Family Sports Club in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
