Alves Snags Mid-South Champion of Character Selection

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Georgetown College women's volleyball senior, Maria Alves was named to the Mid-South Conference Champion of Character team as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

The MSC recognizes a Champions of Character Team for each championship sport. The student-athletes honored on the Champions of Character Team were nominated by their coaches based on their leadership on and off campus, as well as their demonstration of the five core character values of the NAIA.

Alves played in all 26 matches this season and had 111 kills during the regular season, which was third-most on the team. She also ranked third on the squad in total blocks with 26.
