Tigers post strong results on Day 1 of Gordon Bocock Invite

Liza Pollio led Georgetown on a solid day of results to round up day 1 of the Gordon Bocock Invite, hosted by Cumberlands.

Pollio finished 3rd in the 5K race with a time of 19:22.30. Elizabeth Lavinder ran 5th in a time of 19:56.83. Shelby Shepard finished 7th in 22:07.66.

Neveah Wright brought home a 4th place finish in the 200m with a final time of 27.28 seconds. Dannie Bruce finished in 28.68 seconds to place 11th. Rebecca Kainer finished 10th in the 1500m with a run of 5:15.09.

On the field, Madison Raines showed strong with a 6th place throw of the javelin and a best distance of 19.42m. Phoebe Tripure brought home an 8th place finish in the discus with a top throw of 20.79m.

The Tigers return to the track for day 2 of the meet on Saturday, starting at 10:00am.
