Women's tennis drops to UT-Southern
Georgetown fell to UT-Southern in women's tennis action at the Lackey Tennis Center on Wednesday, by a 5-1 final result. The final 2 singles matches were unable to be completed due to rain.
The Tigers got off to a strong start on the day as the #1 doubles team of Bailee Martin and Samantha Spady cruised to a 6-1 win that took less than 40 minutes, giving GC an early overall lead. It would prove to be the final point for Georgetown on the day.
UT-Southern swept singles competition, with the exception of #5 & #6 singles, featuring Lydia Prince and Abby Moss, due to the rain.
The #3 doubles team of Maddie Gill and Hana Dixon did pick up an exhibition win in their match, 6-3.
