GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Georgetown College women's soccer team (4-4-1, 0-2 MSC) took a 12-0 loss to #2 Cumberlands (7-1-3, 1-1 MSC) at Toyota Stadium on Tuesday evening.
THE MATCH
Playing the #2-ranked team in the country quickly turned into an issue for the Tigers on both sides of the ball. Seemingly from kickoff, the Patriots controlled the pace and possession of the game. The scoring started for the visitors in the 8th minute, and Cumberlands held a 4-0 lead at halftime.
The Tigers were down 9-0 before registering their first and only shot of the night. Morgan Imhoff got a shot off in the 78th minute, which went high. The Patriots tacked on eight second-half goals for the 12-0 victory.
