(RV) Tigers Fall on Road to No. 4 Eagles

WALESKA, Ga. – The (RV) Georgetown College women's lacrosse team (4-8, 3-1 AAC) fell 18-3 to No. 4 Reinhardt University (10-1, 5-0 AAC) at Ken White Field on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Tigers faced a stiff road test in the Eagles, as both sides entered unbeaten in the AAC. The Eagles collected the first five goals of the day before Hannah Voss struck off a free position shot with just over five minutes remaining in the period. Reinhardt took a 7-1 lead into the second period.

In the second, the opening five goals once again belonged to the hosts as it was a 12-1 game before Hannah Voss scored her second of the day with just over two minutes to play in the half.  Her goal was unassisted and made it a 12-2 game before halftime.

Reinhardt was limited to just four goals in the third period as Destini Gomez found the back of the net off a pass with Madison Diaz. The Eagles got the goal back, though, with just 12 seconds remaining in the period.

The final two goals of the day went to the Eagles as Georgetown fell 18-3.

THE TEAM
Georgetown had nine shots while RU had 41. The Eagles held a 15-7 advantage in draw controls. The Tigers collected 11 ground balls and made 15 saves. 

THE PLAYER
Hannah Voss scored two goals off two shots and had one ground ball and one caused turnover.

UP NEXT
The Tigers return home to face off against Tennessee Wesleyan (10-4, 1-2 AAC) for Senior Day on Saturday, April 11.

First draw is set for 1:00 p.m. against the Bulldogs at Toyota Stadium.
