3 Lacrosse Tigers named to IWLCA Honor Roll

The IWLCA announced its 2024-25 Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday. Georgetown had 3 student-athletes earn the honor for their outstanding work in the classroom.

Maggie Byrd and Madison Diaz were named to the list along with Melanie Wieland, who received the nod for the second consecutive year.

To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

Byrd just completed her junior year at Georgetown majoring in Psychology. Diaz also completed her junior year majoring in Psychology and Social & Criminal Justice. Wieland wrapped up her senior year as a double major in History and Religious Studies. Georgetown is 1 of just 11 NAIA schools to have multiple student-athletes receive the honor.
