Georgetown wrapped up its trip to Florida on Monday, but fell to 4th-ranked Keiser, 19-4, in the Morgan's Message Game to raise mental health awareness.
Keiser jumped out early on the Tigers with the 1st 2 goals. Freshman Madison Diaz got 1 back in the 1st off an assist from Aubree Lair, to make the score 2-1, Keiser, with 12:26 left in the 1st. KU would show its strength by scoring the final 4 goals of the quarter to take a 6-1 lead to the 2nd.
The Seahawks kept the momentum in the 2nd quarter by adding 3 more to start, taking a 9-1 lead. Mac Miller, the reigning AAC Offensive Player of the Week, got Georgetown back in the scoring column. Miller found the net twice in the 2nd, both off free position shots. Keiser kept finding small windows to operate in against the tough Tigers defense and converted. Keiser led 12-3 at halftime.
The Tigers gave it their all but the Seahawks defending was worthy of their #4 ranking on this day. Georgetown would get a goal from Madison Diaz in the 4th, but Keiser just had too much, winning the game, 19-4.
Madison Haney got the bulk of the time in goal for the Tigers and recorded 10 saves. Olivia Yakel came in for 15 minutes and made 2 stops.
