Mac Miller's dazzling offensive display of 7 goals propelled Georgetown to a 16-12 win over St. Thomas, giving Head Coach Bianca Rojas her 1st win at Georgetown.
Miller's effort was part of a 13-goal 2nd half that saw the Tigers go hotter than the Miami sun they played under on this day. Katerina Gilbert also went bonkers in the 2nd half, tallying 4 goals and 3 assists.
Just as impressive was the different ways the Tigers put the ball in the net on this day. 9 live-action goals, 5 in 1-up situations, and 3 goals off free position shots (1 goal in free position and up), showed the talent that Rojas has believed in all offseason.
The Tigers also got solid work in goal from Madison Haney, who picked up the win after recording 8 saves. Olivia Yakel also saw 16 minutes of action in net, making 2 saves.
Georgetown also impressed with 11-15 clears and a draw control advantage of 22-10.
The Tigers will stay in Florida to take on Keiser on Monday in the Morgan's Message Game to raise Mental Health Awareness.
