GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The (RV) Georgetown College women's basketball team (21-7, 6-6 MSC) pulled off the huge 68-67 upset over No. 5 Campbellsville University (22-6, 7-5 MSC) on Senior Day in Davis-Reid Alumni Gym on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Kayra Freeman hit a jumper to close the half and give the Tigers a 38-35 lead.

Everything went Campbellsville's way to start the third quarter as the visiting Tigers used an 11-0 run to surge to a 46-38 lead and force a Georgetown timeout. The Tigers weathered the storm, though, and managed to pull back within four points heading into the fourth.

Reid's clutch 3-point shooting got the Tigers back into things to start the fourth. Freeman made a layup at the 5:38 mark to tie things up at 60-60, forcing a Campbellsville timeout. After a nearly two and a half minute scoring drought, Freeman sank a 3-pointer to break the silence. Reid sank a 3-pointer to build the lead out to five with 2:11 to go.
