Dioszegi Claims Mid-South Conference Player of the Week

GEORGETOWN, Ky – Georgetown College women's basketball freshman Eszter Dioszegi was named the Mid-South Conference as the Defensive Player of the Week by the league office on Monday.

Dioszegi, a redshirt freshman from Cleveland, Ohio, swatted away four shots and pulled down eight rebounds in the 64-63 win over Cumberland, the Tigers first MSC win this season.

She also recorded a steal in the win. The four blocks match her career-high.

Dioszegi ranks second in the MSC this season in blocks per game (1.0) and ninth in rebounds (6.8).

Georgetown is on the road at No. 14 Cumberlands (16-3, 1-2 MSC) this Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
