Tigers Receiving Votes in the Preseason Coaches' Top 25 Poll
GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Georgetown College women's basketball is receiving votes in the Preseason Coaches' Top 25 poll that was released by the NAIA on Wednesday.
The Tigers, coming off a 2024-25 campaign in which they went 22-9 overall and reached the NAIA Round of 16, received 69 votes in the first coaches' poll.
Indiana Wesleyan, who eliminated the Tigers in the Round of 16 and finished runners-up are preseason #1. Dordt claims preseason #1 after winning the program's second title last season by defeating IWU.
This season, the Tigers feature 10 new players with just a trio of returners in Addesa Miller, Anna Long and Kayra Freeman. Long started in 28 of the Tigers' 31 last season, averaging 7.0 points and 1.3 assists over 21.5 minutes per game.
Georgetown's season kicks off on Friday when it hosts Virginia-Lynchburg for the first basketball game played in the newly renovated Davis-Reid Alumni gym. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
