After a tight game for 3 quarters against Cumberlands, Georgetown's 4th quarter proved its undoing in a 78-68 loss to the Patriots. The result dropped the Tigers to 4-3 in MSC play, with 2 losses coming to the Cumberlands.

Cumberlands got off to a quick start with the first 5 points of the game. After a slow start on both sides, Cumberlands' Kaylie Monday hit consecutive threes to give UC a 24-20 lead near the midway point. Izzy Lamparty got 2 back on the next possession, but Cumberlands kept pressuring and would eventually take a 30-23 lead with under 3 minutes to go until halftime. Georgetown chipped away and ultimately got a last-second three from Abby Varney to bring the Tigers within 1 at 32-31 going to halftime.

The 4th quarter was where the tide shifted to the visitors. Georgetown committed the first of 8 turnovers in the quarter just 14 seconds in. The Patriots grabbed an early 4-point lead at 61-57, but again, Izzy Lamparty scored inside to keep GC within a possession. After UC free throws, Georgetown committed another turnover that led to a Patriots bucket for a 65-59 lead. Defense tightened up on each side until Abby Varney knocked down a 3 with just under 4 minutes to play to cut Georgetown's deficit to 2 at 65-63. Cumberlands countered with a 3 of its own and after a Tiger giveaway, the Patriots scored again to take a 70-63 lead with 2:29 to go. After turnovers by both teams, AJ Stevenson nailed a long 3 to cut the margin down to 4 with 1:38 to play. Needing a stop, Georgetown couldn't get it as Cumberlands pushed its lead to 6 with a minute to play. Another turnover resulted in Cumberlands free throws for a 74-66 lead with 34 seconds to play, thus sealing the Tigers' loss. On top of the 8 turnovers, Georgetown shot just 5-13 from the field in the 4th and scored just 13 points.

Izzy Lamparty had a strong night on both ends of the floor. The senior finished with 16 points, 13 rebounds and 3 steals. Abby Varney was the only other Tiger in double-figure scoring as she ended with 14.
