Tigers maul Bearcats, 109-36

Georgetown College women's basketball hit above 50 percent from the field Thursday as the team cruised to win three on the season. The Tigers (3-0) dominated from the tip in a 109-36 win.

Brescia University managed just 10 points in the first half and 13 each quarter in the final 20 minutes. Five Tigers reached double-figures, while AJ Stevenson scored half as many points as the entire Bearcat team. Her 18 points came on five threes and three free throws.

Joining her with 10-plus points was Cassie Colon (11), Jazzmyn Elston (11), Grace White (10) and Callie Jackson (10).

Georgetown won the battle on the glass with a 41-28 edge. Colon led with seven, while White and Jackson each chipped in with five. Dynastee White showed her quick hands with seven steals as the Tigers had 23 steals and forced BU into 36 turnovers.

GC is back in action 6 pm Thursday in an exhibition with Morehead State University.
