Coach Susan Johnson gets 500th Win

Georgetown College's Susan Johnson has reached a milestone that coaches dream of, win #500, with the Lady Tigers 90-71 win over Lambuth University in the 13th Annual Jackson Rotary Classic.
Johnson has achieved all of her wins as head coach at Georgetown. In her 28th season, she has a record of 500-313, including a great start this season with a record of 5-1. She has a long list of highlights including ten NAIA National Tournament appearances and three elite eight finishes. Her teams have also won five Mid-South Conference Championships, three KIAC Championships and three NAIA District/Regional Championships. She has been named the Mid-South Conference Coach of the Year four times, the KIAC Coach of the Year three times and was given the 1994 NAIA Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year Award.

Georgetown had two players with double-double nights, senior Kim Ingle, who scored her 1000th career point as a Lady Tiger on Thursday and then followed it up with 29 points and 10 rebounds against Lambuth. Megan Gray also was a big part of Georgetown's win with 15 points, 10 rebounds and four blocked shots.

Next up for the Lady Tigers is Freed-Hardeman University on Saturday in their last game of the classic. Tipoff is at 6:00 pm.
