Lions Stop Tigers 1-0 in first MSC Tournament Game
COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Georgetown College softball team (17-21, 6-12 MSC) fell in the first round of the Mid-South Conference tournament to Freed-Hardeman University (21-19, 10-8 MSC) on Thursday afternoon at Sparks Park.
The Lions took down the Tigers 1-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Another pitcher's duel marked these teams' fourth meeting this season, as just two over the minimum reached between the two sides through the opening two innings. Kylie Miller led the game off with a walk and the Lions scored the game's only run in the second. With one out and two on, a sacrifice fly to centerfield marked the difference in the game as Freed-Hardeman held on for the 1-0 win.
