Nanpuya Named Mid-South Conference Wrestler of the Week

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – For the second consecutive week, the Georgetown College men's wrestling team has landed the Mid-South Conference Wrestler of the Week as Navarro Nanpuya captured the recognition by the league office on Monday.

Nanpuya, a junior from Omak, Washington, went an undefeated 6-0 in the Missouri Valley Invite this past weekend. He defeated the No. 10 and No. 21-ranked wrestlers in the 184-pound class on Friday to put himself in position to win his bracket on Saturday over Grand View's Thomas Even.

In total, 20 of the top 25 teams participated in the Missouri Valley Invite.

The Tigers take on Cumberland on Friday, January 30, in a Mid-South Conference dual beginning at 8:00 p.m.
