(RV) Tigers Fall to No. 13 Patriots to Open MSC Play

WILLIAMSBURG, KY – The Georgetown College men's wrestling team opened Mid-South Conference play, falling 39-10 against No. 13 Cumberlands in the UC Volleyball gym on Monday night.

Facing off against three nationally-ranked wrestlers, the Tigers fared decently. After a decision in the 125 class, Richie Patanjo faced off against No. 20 Riley Bettich and competed well. Cofy Walls picked up the first pin of the night with a little over two-minute round before the Patriots scored in the next four weight classes.

In the 165 class, Sam Daniels fell to No. 21 Rider Trumble in a four-minute round before Jackson Burger fell to the No. 24 ranked Derrick Bannister in the 174-class bout.

Doug Dittmer then won a major decision over Uriah Virzi to make it a 29-10 dual before the final 10 points went the Patriots way.
