Tigers Beat Brewton-Parker, Finish Rocky Top Duals 1-2

GATLINGBURG, Tenn. – The Georgetown College men's wrestling team went 1-2 on the day at the Rocky Top Duals hosted by Life University on Saturday.

The Tigers took down Brewton-Parker, 37-10, in the first dual of the day before falling to both Life (47-6) and Reinhardt (28-17), respectively, in the second and third duals of the day.

In the 165-class, Clayton Shaddix was up big late before getting pinned for an 11-point swing towards Reinhardt. Luke Cox was winning 7-4 over the number 3-ranked heavyweight before being reversed to his back late to end up losing.

The Tigers were led by both Marcus James, the number 16-ranked wrestler in the 197-class in NAIA, who went 2-0 on the day, picking up wins against Brewton-Parker and Reinhardt. Leland Reeves, who is ranked number 24 in the 133-pound class, also went 2-0 on the day. Jackson Burger was also undefeated from the 174-class, going 1-0 with a pin in just over a minute.
