Tigers Remain at No. 13 in Final NAIA Coaches Poll

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Georgetown College men's volleyball team remained steady at #13 in the final NAIA regular season coaches' poll released on Wednesday.

Since the last coaches' poll was released, Georgetown (18-8, 13-3) has punched it's ticket to the River States Conference tournament as the number 2 seed. The Tigers defeated (RV) Cumberland 3-1 and lost to top-seeded Campbellsville 3-0 at home to close the regular season.

Park (Mo.) overtook the top spot in the latest men's volleyball poll behind an unblemished 29-0 record and earned six first-place votes. The Master's (Calif.) slips one spot to No. 2 after leading the poll up until this point. Saint Xavier (Ill.) stays steady at No. 3 with a strong 26-3 mark. Mount Mercy (Iowa) and Missouri Valley flip places from the previous poll at No. 4 and 5, respectively.

The biggest mover this week is OUAZ (Ariz.), surging five spots to No. 6 after defeating The Master's (Calif.) in five sets. Grand View (Iowa) also trends upward, climbing three spots to No. 11 and Indiana Tech breaks into the rankings at No. 12 after receiving votes previously. 

Georgetown takes on the #3-seed Oakland City University in the River States Conference semifinals on Friday, April 17 at 7:00 p.m. The Tigers swept the Mighty Oaks to open league play on February 21 before dropping a single set to OCU at home on March 24.
