No. 15 Tigers Cruise Over Eagles
GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The No. 15 Georgetown College men's volleyball team (17-7, 12-2 RSC) won its sixth straight game over Midway University (2-23, 0-13 RSC) on Saturday night in Davis-Reid Alumni Gym.
Georgetown defeated Midway in three sets: 25-12, 25-18, 25-17.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After falling into a 2-1 hole, Georgetown rattled off seven of the next eight points to take an 8-3 lead. From there, a pair of 3-0 runs was the most the Tigers could manage as they slowly pushed their way to the 25-12 win.
In set two, it was Georgetown who managed to gain a 2-1 lead as the set was much more competitive. The Tigers never trailed in the set, as they were last tied at 14-14. From there, the Tigers took six of the next seven sets to lead 21-15. Georgetown closed out the second, 25-18 off an attack error.
Georgetown once again never trailed in the third as the Tigers took four straight points after things were tied at 3-3. With Georgetown leading, 24-13, Midway won the next four points before an Alessandro Bux kill helped the Tigers to the set and match win, 25-17.
THE TEAM
Georgetown hit .341 as a squad, with MU earning a -.054 mark. The Tigers had 48 kills and 48 assists. Georgetown collected five service aces and 35 digs.
THE PLAYERS
* Grant Hapner collected a team-high 11 kills with four digs and a service ace.
* Santino Zucchiatti had eight kills and finished with five digs and a block solo.
* Ben Milam also added eight kills to go with a dig and a block solo and a block assist.

The Tigers host Cumberland University (14-10, 9-5 RSC) on Friday, April 10.
