Jack Stark named Men's Volleyball Head Coach

Georgetown College Athletics has announced Jack Stark as the next Men’s Volleyball Head Coach. He will lead the Tigers as they look to defend the 2024 NAIA Men’s Volleyball National Championship.

Stark arrives in Georgetown after one season at Warren Wilson College, a NCAA Division III school in Asheville, NC,  where he built the program from scratch and competed as a non-conference independent. Prior to his time at Warren Wilson, Stark served as the Head Coach of the Women’s Club team at the Raleigh Volleyball Club and was a graduate assistant coach at Mount Mercy University.

As a player at St. Andrews University, Stark served as team captain from 2017-2020 and won 2 Mid-South Conference Championships while tallying over 3000 career assists. He was named 2nd Team All-Conference in 2018 and 1st Team in 2019 and twice played in the NAIA tournament. Stark received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Forensic Science from St. Andrews in 2020, before obtaining his MBA from Mount Mercy in 2022.

Stark spoke about the opportunity to build on what has already been accomplished at Georgetown. “I’m extremely grateful and excited for this opportunity and ready to begin this new chapter at Georgetown College,” said Stark. “I’m excited to connect with our team and I look forward to developing high-level student-athletes with a championship environment.”

Georgetown College Vice President for Athletics, Chris Oliver, also detailed his enthusiasm for the hire. “We are excited to have Coach Stark join our department,” he noted. “He comes highly recommended by his colleagues, and his time at the NAIA level as a coach and as a player will be a valuable asset to our program. In addition, his recent experience of starting a successful program from scratch at Warren Wilson College is a great example of his leadership,” Oliver continued. “I look forward to working alongside him as we continue to develop the championship tradition of our men’s volleyball program.”

Stark takes over a program that is slated to return a number of key players from the national championship team. The schedule for the 2025 season will be announced in the fall.
