Wilson Pendleton named MSC Field Athlete of the Week

Wilson Pendleton has been named the Mid-South Conference Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by conference officials on Monday.

Pendleton easily won the Raider Rumble shot put event with an NAIA "A" Standard throw of 16.84m (55 feet, 3 inches). He was nearly 8 feet better than the rest of the field in picking up his 2nd straight shot put win to start the outdoor season.

He also finished in 2nd in the discus with a best throw of 43.96m (144 feet, 3 inches), less than 2 feet behind the event winner.

Pendleton will go for a 3rd straight win on Saturday at the Wilmington College Invitational in Wilmington, OH.
