Pendleton dominates another shot put field
Wilson Pendleton dominated another shot put event as he cruised to a win on Day 2 of the Gordon Bocock Invite, hosted by Cumberlands.
The senior fired a best throw of 16.88m (55 feet, 4.75 inches) to claim victory by over 9 feet. The win followed up a 1st place finish in the discus on day 1 of the event.
On the track, Georgetown entered 5 runners into the 800m race. Justin Bynum was the 1st Tiger home in 10th in 2:01.47. Riley Morris ran 12th in 2 minutes, 2.39 seconds. Layne Clark ran 17th with a time of 2:08.48. Chan Riiny finished 20th, followed by Josiah McMahan in 22nd.
The Tigers next head for a split day on Friday with meets at the Centre Outdoor Twilight and the Morehead State Eagle Twilight.
