Pendleton leads Tigers at Wildcat Open
Wilson Pendleton led a host of Tigers to strong performances at the Wildcat Open, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University on Friday.
Pendleton reached the NAIA "B" standard in the shot put with a distance of 15.74m. The throw was good enough for a 2nd place finish and just .01m off the NAIA "A" Standard.
On the track, Bryant Curtis ran 3rd in the 3K with a time of 10:31.05. Richard Harris placed 5th in the 400m as he ran the race in a time of 54.50 seconds. In the 4x400 relay, the team of Josiah McMahan, Elijah Walters, Layne Clark and Justin Bynum finished in 6th place with a time of 3:49.70.
Bynum continued his day in the 800m individual by bringing home an 8th place finish in 2 minutes, 7.01 seconds. Riley Morris ran the 1 mile in 8th place and the 800m in 12th. Tadiwanashe Chikondo finished 9th in the 400m.
The Tigers now prepare for the MSC Championships on February 13th in Louisville.
