Tigers tennis scratches Buffs 6-3

Georgetown College men's tennis got back to its winning ways, pulling one win from 500 on the season. The Tigers won 6-3 over Milligan College Friday in Lexington, Ky.

Ryo Takeda and Tristan Nosek continue to be point stackers for the team. In doubles they won 8-4, while Takeda won in top singles 7-5, 6-2 and Nosek was a 6-3, 6-3 winner at the two spot.

Cole McCreary and Isaac Mathis made it two points in the doubles competition with an 8-5 win in the third seeded match.

McCreary added another point in singles with a 6-3, 6-2 win at the fifth spot.

Hunter Nosek scored the final singles point in rally fashion. The freshman lost the first set before rallying to win in a tiebreaker 2-6, 6-4, 1-0.

Georgetown is back in action 1 pm Sunday against Lewis-Clark State College back in Lexington's indoor facility Top Seed Tennis Club.
