Georgetown College men's soccer had opportunities, but could not finish. On the other side, Martin Methodist College netted a quick goal in each half to make a 2-0 victory stand Sunday at Toyota Stadium.
The Tigers (3-2-2, 2-1-2) started by honoring two seniors, but the RedHawks (2-5, 2-4) used the moment to seize the momentum. Mario Lopez from Miguel Tizapa worked twice – the 12th minute and the 48th minute.
GC had 15 shots, two on frame and one late in the first half that just rolled wide of an open net.
The Tigers return to action 8:30 pm Tuesday hosting Cumberland University.
