Bearcats early goal stands as lone offense
Less than five minutes into Thursday afternoon's Georgetown College men's soccer game, visiting Brescia University found the back of the net. The Bearcats (8-6-1) made it stand, as the Tigers (1-1-1) fell 1-0.
It was not for lack of offense. Georgetown out-shot BU 24-3. Half of those were on frame, but none could squeak past Ruben Burgos.
Nils Knuth led the charge with three shots, all on frame. Ahmed Nossier had two shots, while Lucas Cadiz, Luca Zellmann, Jake McKettrick, Seba Bocaz-Canales, Angus Taylor, Adam Hegedus and Micheal Devlin all had one on frame.
The Tigers look to get back on track 5:30 pm Sunday at Bethel University.
