Bocaz-Canales late goal lifts Tigers
Georgetown College men's soccer continues to add to an impressive season. The Tigers (12-3, 3-3) leveled their Mid-South Conference record with a late goal from Seba Bocaz-Canales. The freshman scored in the 88th minute as GC picked up a second league road victory 1-0 over University of Pikeville.
Georgetown sits fifth, a half game back, of Campbellsville University. The other three teams above them are the ones that have defeated them.
Saturday at Toyota Stadium, the GC Tigers will host the CU Tigers in a huge game with postseason implications.
Jacob Roberts helped to keep Georgetown in the game in Pikeville, picking up a shutout win with three saves and timely collections and clears. The Tigers had nine shots on frame – seven of which were off the foot of Bocaz-Canales. He found the back of the net and the Tigers hung on for its second straight win.
