Second half goals hurt Tigers
Georgetown College men's soccer were tied in conference standings with Life University. Friday the two locked up in a late game due to the Running Eagles being stuck in traffic. The first 50 minutes were exciting and looked as if the game was destined for overtime. The Tigers (7-7, 2-4) made multiple stops and great saves on the defense, and got a tying goal when Kyle Settle was fouled inside the box.
Blaine Skeen made it one all just before halftime. However, early in the second Thierry Jules scored twice in just more than two minutes to put the game away 3-1 for the visitors.
GC returns to action Monday at Midway University.
