Tigers Named 3-seed, draw IU-Kokomo in NAIA Tournament First Round
GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Georgetown College men's basketball team was announced as the three-seed in the Naismith Quadrant for the upcoming 2026 NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship, as announced by the NAIA on Thursday night.
It will be the 45th all-time appearance for the Tigers in the NAIA Tournament after being announced as one of the 16 host sites for the opening two rounds of action on Monday.

The Tigers take on 14-seed, IU-Kokomo (Ind.), in a first-round matchup on Friday, March 13th. Georgetown earned an at-large bid out of the Mid-South Conference with an overall record of 22-7.
IU-Kokomo enters the NAIA Tournament out of the River States Conference with a 24-7 overall record.
The Cougars played two Mid-South Conference squads this season, beating both Campbellsville and Cumberland in the Oakland City Classic at the end of 2025.
The Tigers faced off against a trio of River States Conference foes, beating WVU Tech as part of the 32nd annual Jim Reid Classic while falling to Shawnee State to conclude "The Show" in the Meadowview Resort in Kingsport, Tennessee, in November. Georgetown also played IU-Southeast in its home opener, a team the Cougars lost to in their conference championship game.
Georgetown and IU-Kokomo will headline the men's session, which begins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13.
Also in the Georgetown pod is 6-seed Bethel (Ind.), who put together a 23-7 overall record, falling in the Crossroads League tournament semifinals, and 11-seed Life (Ga.), who enters the tournament with a 20-10 overall record after also reaching the semifinals of the Southern States Athletic Conference tournament.
Bethel (Ind.) and Life (Ga.) will square off in the final game of the evening at 8:15 p.m.
