Leavell Secures Mid-South Conference Player of the Week

GEORGETOWN, Ky – Georgetown College men's basketball junior Bubba Leavell was named by the Mid-South Conference on Monday as the league's Offensive Player of the Week.

Leavell, a junior from Hopkinsville, Kentucky, scored a team-high 25 points in the Tigers' victory at Lindsey Wilson on Thursday.

The guard followed up his 25-point night putting up 14 points on 4-of-10 shooting from down against Campbellsville.

Leavell finished the regular season averaging 10.7 points and 2.4 rebounds for Georgetown this season.

Georgetown secured the number two seed in the Mid-South Conference tournament and takes on number seven seeded Bethel (17-11) in the opening round on Saturday, February 28 at 3:30 p.m.
