Tigers Come in at No. 16 in latest NAIA Top 25 Coaches Poll
GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Georgetown College men's basketball team fell three spots to No. 16 in the third 2025 NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll released on Wednesday.
The Tigers (11-3) have won their past two games and are winners of 11 of the last 12 contests.
Georgetown knocked off Wright State-Lake in a 48-point rout, its largest margin of victory this season. Earlier in December, the Tigers dismantled Simmons 95-52.
Grace (Ind.) maintains the No. 1 spot ahead of the holiday break, and the Lancers are also one of the few teams remaining without a loss on the season. The third NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll of the season had five teams rise into the top 25 with Carroll (Mont.), Pikeville (Ky.), Benedictine Mesa (Ariz.), Graceland (Iowa), and LSU Shreveport (La.).
The first half of the season was a blast as teams found their identity, and a handful of conference games are now in the books. However, the real fun begins after the holiday break, as the Road to Muni heats up.
The fourth coaches' top 25 poll of the season will be released on Wednesday, January 14.
The Tigers host Union Commonwealth (6-8) on Tuesday, December 30 before taking on Washington Adventist (5-5) to ring in the New Year on January 4. From there, the 12-game Mid-South Conference schedule begins when Georgetown travels to No. 2 Freed-Hardeman (13-1) on January 8.
