Rashad Bishop Selected as NAIA Defensive Player of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After winning Mid-South Conference Defensive Player of the Week yesterday, Georgetown College senior Rashad Bishop was selected as the NAIA Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Bishop, a senior from Louisville, Kentucky, averaged 15.0 points and seven rebounds for the Tigers in their 3-0 week. He also turned away eight blocks on the week.

Half of Bishop's blocks came in a 97-81 victory at home against WVU Tech (W. Va.), while he pulled down 10 defensive rebounds against Midway (Ky.) in a 107-67 win.
The senior had a team-high 21 points and four blocks in the Tigers' win against WVU Tech.
Bishop put up another team-high 18 points with 12 rebounds in the win over Midway.
Georgetown, on a five-game winning streak, takes on No. 14 LSU Alexandria (3-1) on Friday as part of the Centennial Bank Classic hosted by Bethel University.
