Bishop Named Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Again

GEORGETOWN, Ky – Georgetown College men's basketball senior Rashad Bishop was selected for the second time by the Mid-South Conference as the Defensive Player of the Week by the league office on Monday.

Bishop, a senior from Louisville, Kentucky, averaged 15.0 points and seven rebounds for the Tigers in their 3-0 week.

The senior had a team-high 21 points and four blocks in the Tigers' win against WVU Tech.

Bishop put up another team-high 18 points with 12 rebounds and four blocks in the win over Midway.

Georgetown, on a five-game winning streak, takes on No. 14 LSU Alexandria (3-1) on Friday as part of the Centennial Bank Classic hosted by Bethel University.

Tip-off with the Generals is set for 4:00 p.m. in Crisp Arena.
