Bishop Claims Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Honors

GEORGETOWN, Ky – Georgetown College men's basketball senior Rashad Bishop was selected by the Mid-South Conference as the Defensive Player of the Week by the league office on Monday.

Bishop, a senior from Louisville, Kentucky, averaged 14.3 points and seven rebounds for the Tigers in their 2-1 week.

Bishop put up a 16-point and 14-rebound double-double effort in the Tigers' 84-64 win over Park and later helped secure the 76-75 victory over No. 2 Arizona Christian on Sunday with six key points down the stretch.

He finished with 14 points, five rebounds, and three blocks in the loss to Peru State.

Georgetown hosts Morris College (2-1) this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
