Tigers Ranked #3 in the Preseason Coaches' Top 25 Poll
GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Georgetown College men's basketball is ranked #3 in the Preseason Coaches' Top 25 poll that was released by the NAIA on Wednesday.
The Tigers, coming off a 2024-25 campaign in which they went 29-5 overall and reached the NAIA Quarterfinals, received two first-place votes in the poll.
College of Idaho, who eliminated the Tigers in the quarterfinals and eventually won the NAIA Championship are preseason #1.
This season, the Tigers feature 12 new players with eight returners, including starting guard, Darien Lewis. Lewis started all 34 games for the Tigers last season, averaging 9.5 points and 3.0 assists over 26.6 minutes per game.
Georgetown's season kicks off on Friday when it hosts Indiana University Southeast for the first basketball game played in the newly renovated Davis-Reid Alumni gym. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
