Tigers outlast Eagles, 95-70

Georgetown College men's basketball had its toughest test to date. In the No. 4 Tigers (4-0) fourth game in eight days it was the first game under 100 and the narrowest margin of victory. Midway University used a platoon system against the thin bench of GC to try and pull off the upset, falling short 95-70.

Shadell Millinghaus, Mid-South Conference Player of the Week, hit his average with 27 points, leading five Tigers in double figures. Quan Poindexter chipped in with 18. Trent Gilbert had 14. Jeremiah Tisdale played for the first time in almost a year and scored 12, while Troy Steward finished with 11.

Bryson Harris led the visitors with 17 points.

GC returns to action 7 pm Friday at Eastern Kentucky University in an exhibition with the Colonels. Admission is free.
