Tigers topple Hilltoppers, 125-45

Georgetown College men's basketball continued to round into shape with a dominant defensive performance to go with its explosive offense. The team forced 23 turnovers, with 14 steals, and controlled the game from the tip.

The No. 4 Tigers (2-0) won 125-45 Thursday against Ohio Chillicothe, improving their scoring average to 116 points per game.

Shadell Millinghaus led the way again with 24 points. The Hilltoppers (0-1) managed just 19 first half points and hit just 18 shots of the 68 they took. OC got outrebounded 55-31.

Jacob Conway tallied a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds, while all eight GC players reached double figures.

Quan Poindexter and Troy Steward each had 18. Trent Gilbert chipped in with 16. Darion Burns had 14. Dusan Prelo had 12 and Eljay Cowherd 11.

Georgetown finished the game shooting above 60 percent from the field (61.3) and above 45 percent (46.4) from three point range.

The Tigers are back in action 2 pm Sunday against Wright State University – Lake.

GC's 125 points is a quarter shy of tying GC's all-time most points in a game. In 1999-00, The Tigers beat Ohio-Zanesville 150-63.
