Bio

Chris Oliver begins his 3rd season as the Head Coach of Georgetown College Football. In his first 2 years in the orange & black, Oliver led the Tigers to a combined record of 17-5. In 2023, Georgetown finished the season with a 10-2 overall record, including a 6-0 Mid-South Conference record, and reached the NAIA FCS Semifinals. 

Oliver was named Head Coach of Georgetown in December 2021 after 12 successful years at Lindsey Wilson College. He restarted the football program in 2010 and built it into a national champion in the Spring 2021 season. In total, Oliver won 105 games in 12 years at Lindsey Wilson before making the move to Georgetown. 

He has won 6 Mid-South Conference Championships (2014, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023) and been named MSC Coach of the Year in each of those years. His teams have reached the NAIA playoffs 8 times with 7 quarterfinal and 4 semifinal appearances. Currently, Oliver’s programs hold a streak of 125 consecutive weeks in the NAIA Top 25 rankings and have been ranked inside the top 10 a total of 81 times. 

In the Mid-South, Oliver has coached 6 MSC Offensive Players of the Year, 3 Defensive Players of the Year, and 8 Freshmen of the Year. He has had over 150 players named 1^st or 2^nd Team All-MSC and over 200 receive All-Academic honors. He has coached 16 AFCA-NAIA All-Americans and had 27 student-athletes named to the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society. 

Coach Oliver began his coaching career as an undergraduate assistant at Ohio State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Education in 2003. From 2003-08, he was an assistant coach at Ohio Dominican University, earning his MBA in 2007. 

He resides in Central Kentucky with his wife, Wendy, and 2 children, Samantha and Patrick.
