• Cronin's wife Ellen, also an Indianapolis native, is a retired physical education teacher at Anne Mason Elementary School in Georgetown. The couple have three sons, Kevin, a graduate from Eastern Kentucky University and currently a merchandiser for Ale 8 One; Chris, a professor of economics at Notre Dame; and Cory, a graduate assistant at Middle Tennessee State University. Ellen and Bill became first-time grandparents with the birth of Oscar Cronin in 2014 to Chris and his wife Jennifer.
