Freeland Named MSC Defensive Player of the Week

Georgetown football student-athlete Ethan Freeland has been named the Mid-South Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Freeland, a junior from Loveland, OH, helped the Tigers to a pivotal opening win over the University of Pikeville (RV) to open the 2025 season.

During the contest, Freeland recorded a team-high 14 tackles, added a pass breakup, and notched a game-changing interception midway through the 4th quarter. The interception set up the final touchdown for the Tigers. This is Freeland's first weekly honor of his career.

Georgetown football returns to action next Saturday on the road against the University of Rio Grande (OH).
