Esports Moves on to Valorant Championship Match with 2-1 Win over University of Saint Mary Gold

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Georgetown College Esports team moved on to the Valorant championship match by defeating the University of Saint Mary Gold, 2-1, on Monday.

Despite falling 13-8 in the opening map, the Tigers rallied to claim the second and third maps, 13-10.
 
On the first map, Trey Arnett led the way with 17 kills and an average combat score of 231. Georgetown rallied for the 13-10 win in map two behind 23 kills from Reid Schulten and 19 more from Nathan Litvin. In the final match, Arnett topped the leaderboard with just the third average combat round of over 300 on the night. He had a score of 309 to lead the Tigers with 25 kills.
 
The Tigers have advanced to the championship match of the national tournament, where they play Lebanon Valley College next Monday, May 4, at 8:00 p.m.
