Tigers Drop Home Game to IU Southeast
GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Georgetown College baseball team (6-12) took a 15-1 home loss to Indiana University Southeast (15-7) at Robert N. Wilson Field on Tuesday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Grenadiers scored at least a run in each of the first five innings, starting with a two-out triple followed by an RBI single in the first inning. A one-out groundout in the second plated another run for the visitors, who scored twice more in the third. Down 4-0, Georgetown scored its only run in the bottom of the third behind a sacrifice bunt. The game shifted in the fourth with a four-run frame for IUSE. The Grenadiers received a lead-off home run to start things, followed by consecutive doubles, a run-scoring single, and a groundout to bring in another run. A wild pitch in the fifth scored the Grenadiers' ninth run of the day. IUSE scored another in the sixth off a wild pitch to stretch it to 10-1 through seven innings complete. IUSE added five more runs in the eighth and went on to win, 15-1.

* Davis Johnson went 1-2 with a walk and a run scored.
* Elijah Verge was 1-2 with a walk.
* Henry Cruz went 1-2.
* Braylon Titler (0-1) started and went 3.0 innings, allowing four earned runs in the loss. He gave up eight hits and a walk.
