8 Strikeouts from Flores Seal Sweep

Matthew Flores would make the start in game two of the doubleheader. He had a great start, as he would go six innings, while only allowing one run to score. He would match his season high in strikeouts, as he managed to strike out 8 Bulldogs over the six innings. He was just overmatching their lineup, as they could not time him up at all. Due to that, he would only allow five base runners, two via hits, two HBP, and a walk. This outing would also move him to 4-0 on the year, and lower his ERA.

David Souza would then come on for the next two innings, and shut it down. He would only allow a single base runner, and allow nothing more of it. He would also strike out three.

In a lineup that consisted of only two regular starters, the fresh faces came in and made it feel no different. Jacob Dezarn just missed a home run in one of his at bats, but still managed to get a triple out of it. He also doubled in the game. Max Flock would destroy a baseball, as he would hit a two run-home run. Kyo Arita would also manage to get two hits in the game, in his first action of the year. The Tigers offense stayed hot after game one's rout, and managed to still get nine hits, and capitalize on Wilberforce's errors.

The Tigers look to stay hot offensively, as they have a big week coming up. They play five MSC games this week, with the hopes of moving up in the standings after poor play in the beginning of the season. The Tigers first face Union on Tuesday, and then face MSC foe Cumberland on Wednesday starting at noon in a doubleheader. The Tigers then head to Pikevill this weekend for a traditional three game set.
