Early Barrage is Too Much to Handle

Starting fast happened again today, as Nick Lopez would demolish a ball over the heightened left field fence. Just as the Tigers started to gain momentum, Mother Nature would hit, and we would go into a 2+ hour rain delay. In the third, the Tigers would score another run on a sacrifice fly from Hank Schineller. They would score their 3rd run in the 5th, when Jose Cazorla would score on a CU wild pitch.

Julian Huerta would get the start in game two of the series. CU would get the second batter of the inning on, but Huerta would get a double play to get out of the inning. Following the rain delay, Huerta would come back out in the bottom of the second, and it looked as if all was fine because Huerta would 1-2-3. The 3rd would be a different story, as he would give up a two-run home run after seeing two batters. He would then be in more trouble, as bases were loaded with two outs. He would walk in a run, and then more would score from an error on the first baseman.
The third would be the end of the day for Huerta, as Christian Santillanes would come on in relief. Santillanes would immediately give up a solo home run. Two more runs would score in 6th, as CU would capitalize on Tiger errors.
