Bats are Silenced in Trip to St. Louis
In the second game of the doubleheader, freshman Ashton Deskins would get his first start for the Tigers. Up to this point, Deskins had a 2 ERA in 9 IP, and would go three innings in his start. Over the three innings, he allowed three runs, four hits, and striking one out. Pasquale DeFilippis would be the first one out of the 'pen for the Tigers, and he would get six outs, only allowing one run. He would leave the ballgame with the bases loaded. Mason Mortimer would then enter with the bases loaded and no outs. He would get a double play on the first batter trading a run for two outs. He would then get a ground ball for the last out of the 6th.
MBU put on a pitching clinic in game two. GC was not able to get anything going, as they only allowed three hits and walked two. The lone hits came from Joshua Duarte, Hank Schineller, and Hunter Klingelhoffer.
The Tigers are back in action this weekend as they host Campbellsville in some MSC action. They will look to end their 4 game skid.
