Late Runs Propel Blue Raiders

In game two of the series, Matthew Flores took the bump for the Tigers. In his first two innings he dominated the Blue Raiders. In the third, he encountered some trouble and allowed two runs to score. The fourth was not much better, as he was not able to get out of the inning. He allowed a homerun to start the inning, then a double and walk. That would cause Coach Randy Guite to go to the 'pen in favor of Ashton Deskins. Deskins would get out of the inning, stranding both runners. Deskins would work an efficient 5th inning, but run into some trouble in the 6th. Two singles and a walk would be the cause for Deskins' departure. Mason Mortimer would be tasked with getting out of the inning with a lead, but he would be unable to because of a LWC 2-rbi single with two outs.

The bats got off to another quick start by scoring two runs in the second inning. With the bases loaded for Joey Lapolla, he would score a run via a fielder's choice and then leadoff hitter Joshua Duarte would hit a sacrifice fly, to increase the lead to 2-0. They would not be back in the run column until the 6th inning when catcher Nick Lopez would deliver a go-ahead 2 rbi single that scored Payton Rios and Lapolla. Jose Cazorla and Lopez led the offense with multi hit games.
